ESP's Own Marques Colston's Stats
Marques finished 2nd in rookie of the year voting!

He was voted the Week 8 and 9 rookie of the week on NFL.com!!!
Rookie WR Marques Colston had another productive day in the New Orleans Saints' 38-31 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday. Colston caught 10 passes for a career-high 169 yards, shattering the club's record for receiving yards by a rookie along the way. His 27-yard catch from Drew Brees on the Saints' third series gave Colston 735 yards, breaking the old mark of 721 yards by Danny Abramowicz in 1967, and finished the game with 869 yards for the season with seven games remaining. Colston also tied the club's rookie record for receptions. He has 54 catches, which equals the mark set by fullback Tony Galbreath in 1976 and matched by tight end Cam Cleeland in 1998.
(Updated 11/13/2006). Sean Payton loves Marques Colston!
It became obvious to Saints coach Sean Payton back in training camp that rookie receiver Marques Colston was going to be good. Maybe not the most prolific, big-play, touchdown-scoring weapon on the team. Maybe not a prime candidate for rookie of the year. But good. Well, Colston leads New Orleans with 577 yards receiving and six touchdowns on 33 catches. No Saints running back or receiver has gained as many yards from scrimmage. "I don't want to hype him up too much, but I love the guy," quarterback Drew Brees said. "He's just scratching the surface, he really is, of what he can accomplish. He'll make the plays for you (in) critical situations."
